A Reflection on Innocence and the Depths of the Human Experience
But sometimes, that part of us can also be our downfall.
Sometimes, we encounter people who see our naivety floating on the surface, and they are tempted to swim towards it. They want to explore our mind, to see what secrets we hide, to find out what makes us tick. They want to dive deep into our thoughts, feelings, and dreams, and see if they can find something valuable, something they can use, something they can take.
But they don't realize that our mind is not a calm and clear pool.
It is a vast and turbulent ocean, full of waves, currents, and storms. It is a place where we store our memories, our fears, our regrets, and our pain. It is a place where we struggle, we fight, we sink, and we drown.
And when they swim too deep, they get caught in the undertow. They lose their sense of direction, their sense of self, their sense of reality. They become overwhelmed, confused, and scared. They can't breathe, they can't think, they can't escape. They drown deep in our mind, and they drag us down with them.
And when they swim too deep, they get caught in the undertow. They lose their sense of direction, their sense of self, their sense of reality. They become overwhelmed, confused, and scared. They can't breathe, they can't think, they can't escape. They drown deep in our mind, and they drag us down with them.
So, what should we do?
Should we hide our naivety, and pretend to be cynical, jaded, and bitter? Should we avoid people, and isolate ourselves from the world? Should we guard our mind, and never let anyone in?
Or should we embrace our naivety, and celebrate our innocence, hope, and trust? Should we seek people, and connect with them on a deeper level? Should we open our mind, and share our thoughts, feelings, and dreams?
